Mary Guyer is an associate in Cohen & Gresser’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration practice group.
Mary has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts, covering all stages from pre-litigation strategy and pleadings to witness preparation, depositions, dispositive motions, and trial documents.
Before joining Cohen & Gresser, Mary was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis. She was seconded to the NYC Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, where she analyzed legislative bills, drafted budget proposals, and proposed policy changes, achieving favorable outcomes.
As an ACLU Student Advocate, Mary worked on voting rights impact litigation, conducting legal research, developing investigatory data with an expert witness, and assisting with U.S. Supreme Court oral argument preparation.
Mary earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was an AnBryce Scholar and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Moot Court Board. She holds a B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from the University of California, San Diego.
