AfricaTech NYC’s ‘Expansion Strategy for Africa Tech Startups’ Panel

Kwaku Andoh, head of Cohen & Gresser’s Africa practice and M&A practice, recently participated as a panelist at AfricaTech NYC’s event, the “Expansion Strategy for Africa Tech Startups” conference, which brought together key stakeholders, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts in the African technology space.

The panel, which also included Magdi M. Amin of Africa Renaissance Partners, Avery Davis of Kimoyo Insights, and Gregory Ugwi of Wefranch, discussed strategies, opportunities, and challenges for scaling tech startups across Africa.

Kwaku spoke about key legal considerations to take into account during expansion, including the importance of understanding the local laws and regulations of the various African countries in which the company will operate.
