The Right to Silence When Everyone Else Is Talking

Jonathan Abernethy participated in a panel at the International Bar Association’s 20th Annual Transnational Crime Conference in Lisbon, Portugal. The panel, titled “The Right to Silence When Everyone Else Is Talking,” examined the right against self-incrimination from the perspective of several countries in a world of increased cross-border information sharing between investigators, regulators, and prosecuting authorities.
