Rights of the Defendant: Pre-trial Detention and Other Issues

Jonathan Abernethy will speak on a panel at the International Bar Association’s 26th Annual Transnational Crime Conference in Milan.

The panel is titled “Rights of the Defendant: Pre-trial Detention and Other Issues.” It will discuss the legal requirements for detention pre-trial, alternatives to pre-trial detention, practical problems faced by lawyers representing defendants in custody, and conditions of confinement for detainees.
